Blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits with spice, herb and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, ripe cherry, fig and blueberry with currants, cacao, pepper and tobacco notes. Fine grainy tannins, good structure, long finish, great mouthfeel, ending with cedar, fruit and tobacco spice notes. Wonderful! Very Nice. Needs cellaring. — 12 days ago
Slightly dry and nicely effervescent #pridebubbles #pride — 18 days ago
Oh my, what a gem. From the moment I opened it I knew I was in for something special. Wonderful nose that brought a big smile to my face. First taste was a bit tough due to tannin overload. I figured a few hours would do it. Yep after decanting and two hours of waiting dinner was ready and I poured some. Huge flavorful wine. Rutherford dust was the first thing I noticed. It got better from there. I have one bottle left, now just on a mission to find more. — 10 days ago
Four Seasons Collection Late Harvest Red Moscato 1997, Moldova
#AgedWineTuesday
This is a very tasty sweet wine from Moldova. Actually, my first one from this region.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Sweet on the palate with nice acidity that balances it out.
Showing red and black fruits with sweet cherries, over ripen citrus fruits, Indian spices, caramel, mocha, nuts, dried figs, cooked raisins and walnuts.
This 25 year old, still has good acidity, which is nice to see.
Good right out of the bottle, and so much better after 3 hours of airtime.
It does not feel fortified, but I wonder how they got to that high alcohol...
A good dessert wine with great complexity.
I found it in a Russian grocery store for $4. Couldn't help myself.
I paired it with an Italian Fruit Tart cake.
15% alcohol by volume.

Drinking the 2013 in 2022. Wonderful big bouquet. Rich oak notes and deep dark fruit. Smooth flavor from start to finish! Well balanced flavors. Slightly earthy with oaky notes. Tart cherry and dark ripe fruit to start with a very smooth finish. Love it!!!! — 11 days ago
Beautiful nearly floral bouquet with lilacs and lavender. A bit bitter on the front end but quite smooth on the back. I toyed around with keeping this in the bottle at least another year longer. I’ll be curious how it mellows in the next 20 minutes. — 14 days ago
Crisp pear, lemon, and grapefruit. A little sharp still with some oak but not yet very round. — 4 days ago

Thought this blind was an aged red burg, so colour me surprised when it was revealed to be a young NZ pinot. Clearly a little more developed than it should be (colour and aromas), but credit where credit’s due, this was quite elegant. Even after the reveal I could not detect that marmalade finish I find so often in NZ pinot’s. This was all red cherries and ripe strawberries, with savoury spices and earthy notes. Perhaps the quality of the oak, which left much to be desired, and rich velvety texture were the only indications of it’s origin. Finished a touch short. There were wines with more intrigue on the table so I didn’t drink much of it, but it definitely wasn’t a bad drop. One to revisit. — 12 days ago
