Cuvée Sainte-Anne Brut Champagne Blend

Mostly 19. Yogurt covered cherry, baked pear, mandarin orange, orange pith, caramel, vanilla, yeasty but not overly so. So concentrated and rich at less than 5g/L dosage. Beautiful stuff. — 5 days ago

Hors Serie Champagne 2015

2015 base and a one off of Grand Cru Avize Chardonnay and Merfy Chardonnay grapes. Outstanding in the broad and rich style Alexandre does so well with finesse and given the time for it to deepen in bottle. Outstanding and one of 2022s best bubbles for me. Thick mousse, tiny bubbles, texturally pleasing champagne with deep aroma and flavor complexity and length. — 9 months ago

Prohibition Champagne Pinot Meunier

Outstanding 100% Pinot Meunier firing on all cylinders mostly 2018 base wine. Everything you want in a PM champagne that you get from the masters Alexandre at Chartogne and Jerome Prevost at his namesake winery. I'd say this is a touch more mineral, and ready to drink now after about an hour of air. It probably won't age as long as Prevost as those wines are so dense and start to blossom 5-7 years in, but that's ok because this is $60 and is a banger right now! — 9 months ago

Saint-Thierry Extra Brut #16 Champagne Blend 2016

We’re sitting outside of Buvette in February and the late afternoon sun is shining; this calls for bubbles! The “Saint-Thierry” Extra Brut #16 is a single vineyard blend of Chardonnay (90%) and Pinot Meunier from the 2016 harvest. Popped and poured, no formal notes. Significant and persistent mousse. Golden apples, peach, lemon, brioche with chalky minerals and fabulous acid. This reacted very well to air; gaining weight and complexity. Long, zippy finish. Disgorged January 2021. — 7 months ago

Les Orizeaux Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs Champagne 2016

Better not get used to this wine—it’s stunning but expensive. The soft mouthfeel is amazing and the depth of flavor bottomless. Just like falling into a champagne pillow. — 6 months ago

Le Rosé Brut Champagne Rosé Blend

2023/2/14. Mostly 2018, deg. 2021/6. A very nice rose - that distinctive combination of red fruit and bittersweet funk to go along with creamy, toasty fruit. Good body and richness, perhaps helped by not being overly dry — 7 months ago

Great stuff as usual. Expressive nose of sour cherries, lemon oil, acacia, chalk. Beautiful salinity, concentration and purity of expression of the Meunière grape. — 9 months ago

Chemin de Reims Extra Brut Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2012

Always love these wines. Somehow they remain underrated and steadily priced, which for a Selosse disciple is surprising. — 10 months ago
