Château Haut Bergey

Château Malescasse

Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

Notes of violets, smoke, baking spices, cherries and cassis with hints of vanilla. Long finish with a big structure. Could use more time in the bottle but delicious nevertheless. — 7 days ago

Château Lanessan

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

Dark robe with a nice nose of tobacco, cigar box, asphalt and soil notes. Very elegant and polished tannins, complex, in a medium bodied and long finish. Very good now but will get better with 3 to 5 years in the cellar. One of our favorite bordeaux values. — 16 days ago

Le Haut-Lieu Demi-Sec Vouvray Chenin Blanc 2002

One of my older wines. 2002. Opened up a little oxidized, but weirdly that seems to have blown off. Gorgeous dark color, I wish I could tan like this wine. Honeysuckle. Melon. Great acidity. These are brilliant wines. — 15 days ago

And for the money, a noble wine that is a QPR! I’ve always been struck by the Zelig quality of Huet @Timothy Eustis

Château Peyrabon

Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2001

Bargain Bordeaux, still needs a decant while the steak 🥩 is being properly Souse Vided🤷🏼‍♂️
I don’t know why anyone would drink this without 20-30 years on it.
Pre arrival for 2020 is $14.00, so it will be enjoyable in 2045 more than likely.
Internet Notes as follows,

This is a property very close to Pauillac, and it's one to watch out for now, and in the future. These wines are well-made, value-driven, with good depth and length. Proprietor Patrick Bernard owns 50 hectares of gravel soils and with the aid of winemaker Xavier Michelet, produces elegant, silky, and vibrant Left Bank wines that won't break the bank.

Château Cantemerle

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 1989

Medium garnet , garnet rim . Quite herbal , dark cassis fruits , slightly unclean but the funk seems to blow off . Some dark fruits , lighter bodied . Fills out on the palate though slightly drying on the finish. Nice acidity , tannin quite resolved . Slightly rustic but good length and enjoyable . Tasted blind on 17/08/2022 — 21 days ago

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2006

Blackish purple robe, opulent nose of blackcurrant, tobacco, asian spices and a hint of violettes. Very elegant and somewhat tight tannins, medium bodied, long and complex. Drinking well now but oh has so much potential ! Great bottle of classic claret. — 23 days ago

Château Sociando-Mallet

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2009

The Bordeaux expression as we like to taste it unpretentious but with a lot of relief. Dark dress. Multidimensional rich nose. Soft mouth carried by unexpected aromas of fennel, plus aromas of blackcurrant, plum, undergrowth, oak, tobacco, very Bordeaux. Affordable and balanced. A classic

Nose with dense dark rose and dark cherry. Palate with juicy acidity and well balanced approachable dark fruit, leather, some tobacco, and mouth tingling spice. Moderate long finish with a tough of grippy tannins at the end. Overall a unique and interesting Bordeaux. — 9 days ago
