2022. Lots of character here. Looking at my notes from my last bottle over a year ago, this seems like a very different wine. It’s got a very “nattie” nose and palate. The nose has loads of tangy deep red fruit with a noticeable (but not unpleasant) barnyard streak. The palate is tangy and deep, and has a little of that nattie prickle on the tongue. I like it a lot but hard to believe this is the same wine I had in early ‘25. — 4 months ago

Brilliant garnet color. Aromas of black and blue fruit, spices and vanilla. Flavors of black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, light pepper spice and that vanilla. Light hint of oak on the long finish. Medium-plus body and solid structure and richness. Noticeable tannins and a bit of heft. Could age for at least another five years. — 9 months ago

Pop and pour, still shows some good red cherry fruit, though no longer primary, decent balance and length, this bottle is a little less mature than one I opened in December of 2024, but definitely time to drink up! — 6 months ago

The nose is typical with cherry, Raspberry, hay, Cola, even... This is quite welcoming. The palate shows some matter and a great acid drive. There are cherry notes dancing all along the acid drive, some width and some nice, a tiny bit thicker than usual mouthfeel. Some lively tannins kick in in the rear before a fruity finish with some salty, meaty touches in the end. This is a beautiful Julienas and I'm glad I have another bottle to leave on the side for a while. — 4 years ago

Cherry, hay, earth, plum somehow. Nice typical nose. The palate is well designed with a great acid backbone, a nice cherry note that shines all through the palate, soft, almost cushiony mouthfeel, a great build up in the rear with a tiny tannins effect that create a tiny distorsion in the mouthfeel before a fruit forward finish with a tiny bitter note that pops up. In a much better place than the last bottle. 2 more bottles out of the 6-box we bought in August last year — 4 years ago

Mineral, faint blue fruits, big structure, this Julienas (from the same producer as the 2017 Bottiere I just posted on) strikes me as a very different style (I would never have guessed the same producer, without looking at the back labels), this is leaner and will need some further aging to really shine!! — 6 months ago
