Les Terres Roses Bouzy Grand Cru Extra Brut Champagne Blend Rosé 2018

2023/3. Creamy, toasty, dry but the strawberry / raspberry fruit keeps it from feeling harshly so. Clean - there isn’t the funky bitterness some young roses show — 2 months ago

Cote des Roses Languedoc Syrah Blend Rosé 2020

Despite it not being as dry as I usually like, beautifully balanced. — 24 days ago

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC)

Grands Échézeaux Pinot Noir 1988

Bright reddish tawny color, translucent. Fruit forward nose. Has a sweetness to it. Notes of dark fruit, spice, dark earth. Not overly fruity in the mouth - a bit dry even. I guess 88 Faiveley Griotte or similar Chambertin. Got the 88 right. With air over the evening, this developed more DRC like notes including roses and salt, Asian spice, etc. — 4 months ago

Roses de Jeanne Creux d'Enfer Brut Rosé de Saignée Champagne Pinot Noir

Fruit forward, with a mineral backbone making its entrance after half an hour. Outside my champagne taste profile due to the emphasis on fruit - yet I recognize one of the best roses when I taste one. — 4 months ago
