Carmenere 2019

Wily and coy, leading me down a dusk-lit walkway of cobblestones and cascading ivy, whispering and beckoning through the shadows to a well hidden speakeasy entrance where it knows the doorperson. Must let it open for some minutes before tasting, let the demons out and then the softness reveals itself….

Baronesa P. Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2019

Blend of 75% Cab Sauv, 9% Carmenere, 6% Petit Verdot, 5% Cab Franc & 5% Syrah, aged 14 months in French oak, 65% new. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, spices and herbal earthy tones. On the palate flavors of blackberry, ripe cherry and currants, with herb notes and black pepper spice. Ripe chewy tannins showing it’s youth, long finish ending with earthy herb notes. Very nice, let this one develop in cellar for a few years. — 18 hours ago

Les quelles de la coste

carmenere 2020

Vintage 2020 Les quelles de la coste - cuvée carmenere | very dark colour. In smell blackberries and black cherries, initially gloomy but after half an hour in the glass it is joyous and expressive. Friendly taste with good concentration and a velvety structure. We paired it with one of our home favorites, Cantonese beef with mango, and this went well above expectations. Well made Vaucluse wine that gives immediate pleasure. — 6 days ago

Bicicleta Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2019

Ming L
8.9

No one wanted to open this bottle at a function, so I took it home. We don’t want to waste anything, let alone a bottle of wine.
Nose has nice complexity, with blackberry, red cherry, fig, black pepper, and subtle green note that’s the signature of Chilean cab.
Medium body, juicy and quite eloquent.
Very pleasantly surprised.

Yumm, sophisticated Carmenere. Somewhere between a floral light merlot and a burgundy.
