Delicious wine from my friend Marc Ripoll, lovely perfumed nose with ripe black berries fruits, plum, cherries, authum forest, vanilla, spices, full bodied on the palate with elegant and delicate ripe fruit flavors, fresh notes, delicious fine tannin structure, warm mouthfeel, round, fine toasted cedar, Llicorella minerality, like this! 96 DSP — 8 days ago
👃 Watermelon, cold peach, cold clementine peel, crushed rock.
👅 Under-ripe peach, cold raspberry, red currant, orange zest.
Lovely, been a while since we've grabbed this bottle, in a great spot, probably killer in 2-4Y, but I'll never know; one off purchase. — 15 days ago
Love it! Chilled as fuck summer red. Not too sweet, not too sour. Just right for chillin. — 4 days ago
Kicking off birthday weekend with my first Musar experience. Sadly the cork did not hold up but after lots of straining I have some drinkable wine. The nose is extraordinary. Bordeaux profile with pencil shavings and tobacco leaf and a rich dark chocolate. Very expressive. On the palate this wine is mature and beautiful. Mostly aged Bordeaux character but there’s a mix of red cherry fruit and a touch of mint or menthol. Perfect drinking window as a lot of tertiary flavors are driving and the tannins are present but softened by age. — 17 days ago
Natural wine done right, and a welcome, elegant take on the appellation. Blue fruited and high toned on the nose, this has good intensity on the palate yet maintains refinement, and a crunchy edge. Earth driven, there is a ferrous, sanguine quality to the fruit, and this develops nice complexity with air. Stays clean, this avoids the typical natural wine pitfalls with air exposure. Great producer, lovely wine. — 8 days ago
