A little long in the tooth but still very tasty — 3 months ago
Beautiful rich body, aroma, fruit — 6 months ago
Lemon, peach and pear oh my! Mineral and floral accents. A bit juicy and crisp. Refreshing and perfect for a warm day. — 6 months ago
2017 vintage. Open (not decanted) for an hour before tasting. Massive body. Blackish color. 15.9% abv. Nose comes across as hot and salty with roasted nuts. Flavors come across as multiple, ripe, dark fruits with the aforementioned chocolate espresso note. Big, kicking spice components grabbing the upper corners of the mouth behind the molars along with the front third of the tongue and giving them all a good howdoyoudo. No shrinking violet and waay too early to be tasting this. Still...fantastic. 7.5.23. — 3 months ago

1987 - a bit of fruit left, all tannin gone. — 3 months ago
Notes of dusty dark plum with raspberry, earth, dark chocolate and leather. Savoury notes of sweaty saddle with a touch of menthol. Like a traditional middle weight Hunter Valley red with more oomph. Silky tannins - an excellent dry red. Really enjoyed this and very easy to keep sipping on it. If you have any you could keep for several more years. Can’t improve or vary my tasting note from December 2022 of this excellent aged Semillon. Still quite pale for a 12 year old white wine. Notes of buttered toast and lime. Lanolin and lemon on the palate with that waxy texture. Medium weight with enough citric acid to carry on for a few more years. Such purity. Matured in stainless steel. Zero oak. A saline note at the finish. — 2 months ago
