Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2016

Last ‘16, lost luster but still ok. Fruit for this Pinot comes from 2 of the coolest, most coastal parts of this appellation, linked by the influence of the Pacific’s cool marine air, which delays ripening. Ruby with berry fruit, citrus and floral spice. On the palate, strawberry and cherry with cedar notes and earthy tones. Balanced acidity, soft tannins, medium+ finish ending with tobacco and woody spice. Nice, drink now. — a day ago

Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2017

Loved it. Smooth and tasty. Had it at Summit House with Prime Rib. One of the better Pinot Noir. On our favorite Pinot Noir list. — 19 days ago

Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2019

This wine is really good, but has fall spice all over it which seems off in our June tasting setting. There is orange and citrus, but also lots of raspberry. I think it’s lighter than the RRV. — 12 days ago

Helluva Vineyard Pinot Gris Blend 2020

Refreshing, enjoyable white blend for an awesome price. Green apples, medium acidity, a little brininess, wet stone, and a hint of sharp citrus (lemon?). Really easy to drink. — 3 days ago

The Drippings Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2017

Drippings= the last five gallons of each estate Pinot barrel blended into one, with a little more oak aging. I like their leaner pinots even more. — 16 days ago

Tessier Winery

Filigreen Farm Pinot Gris 2019

I didn’t know it was possible to enjoy a Pinot Gris this much (outside of Friuli or Alsace). This unfiltered, 3-days-on-the-skins version from Tessier is evocative and vivid: golden apple, white peach, pennyroyal, bergamot. A single-vineyard wine from Filigreen Farm, a self-sustaining, biodynamically famed vineyard in the Anderson Valley. — 14 days ago

Maggy Hawk

Jolie Estate Vineyard Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2018

Tasty red and blue fruits with a nice finish. Quite nice and would rate higher if not for its lack of structure, which makes it a drink now wine, despite its relative youth. Nice effort, but would like to see more depth of flavor, complexity and structure to support the prodigious fruit. — 6 days ago

Napa Valley Carneros Pinot Noir 2019

This is a very tasty Pinot Noir from Carneros. Showing cedar, ripe raspberries, licorice, light vanilla, blueberries, sweet cherries, chocolates, tobacco and peppercorn.

Easy drinking and dry on the palate with medium acidity.

Nicely balanced with a nice smooth mouthfeel. Fruit forward, spicy and interesting.

Good right out of the bottle and good by itself.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.
