Last ‘16, lost luster but still ok. Fruit for this Pinot comes from 2 of the coolest, most coastal parts of this appellation, linked by the influence of the Pacific’s cool marine air, which delays ripening. Ruby with berry fruit, citrus and floral spice. On the palate, strawberry and cherry with cedar notes and earthy tones. Balanced acidity, soft tannins, medium+ finish ending with tobacco and woody spice. Nice, drink now. — a day ago
I didn’t know it was possible to enjoy a Pinot Gris this much (outside of Friuli or Alsace). This unfiltered, 3-days-on-the-skins version from Tessier is evocative and vivid: golden apple, white peach, pennyroyal, bergamot. A single-vineyard wine from Filigreen Farm, a self-sustaining, biodynamically famed vineyard in the Anderson Valley. — 14 days ago
Lovely stuff as always from littorai. Crunchy red fruit and sweet oak. — 7 days ago
Tasty red and blue fruits with a nice finish. Quite nice and would rate higher if not for its lack of structure, which makes it a drink now wine, despite its relative youth. Nice effort, but would like to see more depth of flavor, complexity and structure to support the prodigious fruit. — 6 days ago
This is a very tasty Pinot Noir from Carneros. Showing cedar, ripe raspberries, licorice, light vanilla, blueberries, sweet cherries, chocolates, tobacco and peppercorn.
Easy drinking and dry on the palate with medium acidity.
Nicely balanced with a nice smooth mouthfeel. Fruit forward, spicy and interesting.
Good right out of the bottle and good by itself.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
