Albert Boxler

Grand Cru Brand Riesling 2010

a wow wine. Floral and tropical, superb density on the palate with thickness while remaining light, restrained tropical fruits and citrus, superbly integrated acidity, just makes the salivary glands squeeze till they ache and empty. Really really great wine. — 13 days ago

Hint of oxidation. Not as impressive as previous bottles. Still pretty remarkable, though. — 10 days ago

Maison Albert Vevey

Blanc Flapi Prié Blanc

Dessert wine, but not extremely sweet
Very fresh
On the nose is almondy and cheese plus amazingly floral as if you are on an Alps highland where cows are free range
It reminds me of a Malga Toma di Gressonay
On the palate is very citrusy somewhere between an orange rind and a grapefruit plus all the flowers still there and a almondy finish
Very very good
Production is so limited i can't even hope to get another bottle unless i go to visit Val d'Aosta

Edelzwicker Alsace White Blend 2013

Our table quite enjoyed this wine, we had it served slightly chilled. Nice mineral and herb notes on the nose followed by citrus and earthy taste. The finish was a little muddled but long and delicious with some light honey. — a month ago

Maison Albert Bichot

Domaine du Pavillon Clos des Mouches Beaune 1er Cru Chardonnay 2016

Tried again over dinner 3 month later. Tons of minerals. The classic hazelnut complexity of white burgundy is omnipresent. Meyer-Lemon, touch bitter, bracing acidity. 13.5% high for a white. Has a bite. Quite tannic. This can easily be aged for another 5 years may be more. Too bad these wines are so expensive. In a Restaurant this will be 250. — 20 days ago
