Vintage 2016 | a rather sophisticated Fronsac, with the characteristics of a nobleman. Dark colour. Nice summerfruit in smell. Sultry in taste, especcialy after 24 hours aeration. Beautiful concentration. Good acidity, lively. Classic. Biowine. 90% Merlot, 10% Cab Franc. | Paired with beef tenderloin first day, a vegan salad and cheeses second day. — 2 years ago
2000 vintage. Decanted and tasted over the course of 1.5 hours. Expected amount of sed. Chunky, unresolved nose. Medium body. Still too youthful. Would try to give it another 7-10 years if possible. Initial tree branches/greenery dipping into morning fresh water morphed into classic graphite/lead pencil after 45 mins in the decanter. There was a slight metallic streak on the finish that appeared about 20 minutes in and still hadn't dissipated after 1.5 hours. More nimble than the og bad boys from this estate ('86, '88, '89, '90) and a bit less weighty. Mostly positives along with a few (mostly) minor quibblings. A ways to go, tho, before hitting the summit this estate established four decades ago. 9.24.23. — 7 months ago
We both enjoyed it. Smooth, without too much fruit. — 10 months ago

With a table full of giants , for many this was the WOTD. Text book Rayas on the nose; strawberry, cherry, spices and kirsch.
This is a wine that makes love to your palate. Teasing and caressing your mouth with harmonious waves of elegant and balanced fruit. A great Rayas in a poor vintage for CDP. However for me the partner in life is the 2005 , which has complexity and concentration that puts that one in the Hall of Fame along with ‘78, ‘90 & ‘95 — 6 months ago
Fruit and oak on the nose, plum and blackberry notes. A really good cab. — a year ago

Bought in Tennessee. Not too much of a metallic taste. Enjoyed this. — 2 months ago
