Château Fonbadet

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

Château Fonbadet Pauillac 2017: Medium-full bodied. Nice balance. Good acidity and approachable tannins. Bursting black fruits. Plum. Leather. Vanilla. Oak. Medium plus finish. Consisting of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot, the youthful Bordeaux blend produces great fruit concentration with nice length & elegance. All in all, a respectable young (a good cellar candidate) yet very enjoyable wine. Cheers🍷 — 19 days ago

Château Gruaud Larose

Sarget de Gruaud Larose Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

Deep Ruby with rich fruit aromas. Don’t be fooled by the easy fruitiness of this delicious wine, look underneath the palate shows blackberry flavors with a meaty tannic structure. Rich, long ending, starting to taste well, will age for another decade. and dense, it promises considerable aging. — 6 days ago

Château Capbern

St. Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

Beautifully rounded tannins, slightly spicy finish. — 3 days ago

Château La Gaffelière

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

Deep ruby color with a viscous grip of the glass. Fresh flowers and herbs, cranberry, spearmint, but otherwise youthful nose. Medium weight, medium plus alcohol, dry. Red fruits are more prominent on the front palate with medium acidity, and medium gripped tannins. Medium finish. Way too early to open this one. My fault. It will add at least 2 points with age. Thankfully, I have more that I will not disturb.

Château Gazin

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

Pomerol: my favorite Bordeaux Appellation, by far. Solid! With so much life and time left in the bottle… Heck, I could pair this with prime rib eye and and it would cut the fat seamlessly. Yeah, this is outstanding, and will only get better and better, peaking in about four or five more years. Amazing prolonged intense tannic finish. Cheers. — 20 days ago
