Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (64%) Merlot (31%), Cabernet Franc (4%) and Petite Verdot (1%). Dark ruby/purple color. Intense aromas of red-and black berry/cherry fruit with hints of graphite, dried purple flowers and slate. Pallet is quite (black) fruit forward featuring blackberries, currants and plums. Additional notes of black tea, baking spices and tobacco. Very silky tannins and beautiful acidity. Medium-plus body and a long lasting finish. Nice depth and density. This estate owes its name to Connetable Talbot, the English general & governor of the province of Guyenne who was defeated at the famous Battle of Castillon in 1453. Aromas of juicy black fruits with herbs and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with cacao and tobacco spice, on a well balanced frame. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (54%), Merlot (38%) and Cabernet Franc (8%). Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Dark fruit aromas with hints of charcoal, bramble, mint and violets. Black cherry leads the palate along with notes of blueberry, plum, currants and dark chocolate. Hint of minerals and fresh herbs on the long finish. Juicy, fresh tasting and well structured.
