Vintage 2019 | Tasted blind this wine did not get much appreciation of my winefriends. I guess when we would know that we drank ‘Trimbach’ things would be different. It stood second in a line up with two expressive wines next to it. My notes: vibrant wine, lemon, high acidity, refinement. I saw a very adequate description from @Tom Casagrande: chiseled leanness.

So Trimbachian in its chiseled leanness. Nose has crisp crushed stone minerality, bright green apple fruit, high-toned floral notes. So crisp and lean and intense in the mouth. Puckering acidity. Nice concentration. This will last at least another 10 years.

Stunning. Lime before lemon zest gustatory explosion. White peach and hints of wild herbs. Searing minerality, acid, flint and wet stones. Approaching bone dry. Probably the only acceptable Shake Shack pairing. WE # 2 wine OTY.

The dichotomy of rich and fruity but dry, fascinating wine and just...pretty

Classic Alsatian Riesling. Light gold color. Pronounced petrol, honeysuckle and slate aromas. Apple, mineral, honey and pear on the pallet. Hint of asparagus. Crisp and luscious. Gripping acidity on a very long finish.
