Trimbach
Sélection de Vieilles Vignes Alsace Riesling
Vintage 2019 | Tasted blind this wine did not get much appreciation of my winefriends. I guess when we would know that we drank ‘Trimbach’ things would be different. It stood second in a line up with two expressive wines next to it. My notes: vibrant wine, lemon, high acidity, refinement. I saw a very adequate description from @Tom Casagrande: chiseled leanness.

May 24th, 2023So Trimbachian in its chiseled leanness. Nose has crisp crushed stone minerality, bright green apple fruit, high-toned floral notes. So crisp and lean and intense in the mouth. Puckering acidity. Nice concentration. This will last at least another 10 years.
