A lot going on in this #NJwine: Black fruit, herbes de provence--lavender?, garrigue, a little smoke, spice, musk. Enjoying this @tomasellowinery 2013 Palmaris a lot. Time to revisit #NJwine! #winestudio — 3 years ago
Sangioves-yay! On the nose: Light red tart cherries. Slight underripe raspberry. Flintstone vitamins. orange oil/peel? Star anise/clove. On the tongue: Light- to medium-bodied, light red tart cherries, raspberries, eucalyptus. Soft tannins, minimal oak (all structure/mouthfeel, little oak aroma/flavor impact). Brisk finish of licorice and cedar. Very drinkable and food friendly, even at 13% ABV. #winestudio #wine @Craig Camp @troonwines — 4 years ago

Nice pair with steaks on a Tuesday night while @Philip Carpenter was waxing poetic on the virtues or Santa Barbara County during a Twitter wine chat. Join in to #WineStudio next Tuesday at 6pm PST to connect with Dan Kessler of Kessler-Haak and with Mr Tercero himself, Larry Schaffer, at the same time on Feb 23rd. — 5 years ago

Unionville Vineyards 2013 Pheasant Hill Syrah ($32): It is easy to like this wine for it bright blackberry and tart cherry flavors. And then there’s rhubarb, a touch of earth, a dash of white pepper, and faint floral notes, all brighten with ample acidity. In the mouth, the wine is slender yet elegant, with streamlined texture and (soft) tannins that melt into a medium-long, vivid finish. This wine shows good structural qualities and would be a wonderful addition to any feast. There’s a splash of Viognier for good measure. Delicious estate-grown juice straight out of New Jersey. #FindThisWine #wine #njwine #NewJersey #Syrah #winelover #myvinespot #winestudio — 3 years ago
