JL Australian tasting 3/30/17. 15% ABV. $25.50. nose of plum and dark fruits. Then rich body and sweet palate and finish. More like what I think if Aussie.

Mar 30th, 2017The entry level Shiraz from one of my favorite producers delivers again. Inky color with purple realm. Loads of dark and blue berries with hint of coffee and vanilla. Sweet undertone. Rich and savory with fine tannins. High alcohol level is well hidden. A bit overly extracted.

Mar 29th, 2017What a mouthful, this is a big wine but Two Hands always finds a way to make their wines so drinkable and smooth with long finishes. Blueberry jam, tobacco, earthy herbaceous notes. Great balance of flavor, chewy tannins, and soft acidity. Amazing how well this wine hides the high alcohol, I've 11.5% Beaujolais that taste hotter.
