Someone said about this wine 'if you like California Cabernet, you'll love this'...#truth. Dark fruit, body; if this was slipped into a blind Cali mountain fruit tasting you would swear this was the sexy one. — 8 years ago

If this Brand were a girl, she would not be the hottest girl at the party. Totally approachable just nothing to lust over. A nice personality. None of the qualities I'm looking for in a $200 a bottle wine. — 8 years ago

@Greg Gregory www.vinfolio.com why release a wine if it not ready to drink? It sure doesn't stop them from rating them.

Well that's exactly why places like Chateau Latour, who can afford it and that's key, is not releasing their most recent vintages until they've had more time in the bottle to develop. It's not economical for Napa wineries to do this. I'm not saying all vintages, just those that bleed more time.

Banfi

Rainstorm Oregon Pinot Noir 2017

This is a light to medium bodied PN from Oregon. It offers pleasing aromas of cherries. It has surprisingly nice tongue coating tannin offering some decent structure and finish. It is an easy sipper that paired beautifully with my glazed salmon. Somewhat lacking in dimension but pleasing nonetheless. — 5 years ago

Araujo Estate

Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

To me Araujo Eisele vineyard has always been a Napa first growth. It needs ample bottle age but like Peter Michael Les Pavot or older Montelena I feel this is as Bordeaux in style as any North Coast blend. Bright lush red fruit, amazing concentration and richness, impeccable polish and style. Pre Coldplay dinner. — 7 years ago
