Crazy good. Started like a tart young Chablis but the finish was so memorable. It had some wood, light toast, lemon curd, honey, but the underlying acidity carried through it all. There were white floral notes at times. It tasted of two different chardonnays seamlessly integrated into each other. Disgorged 2021. — 3 years ago
Bottle was a little bit off but still an excellent wine in an underrated vintage. The better crust like Ducru Beaucaillou have done much better in 2001 than in 2000. This is so evident these days. Classical vintage and starting to get accessible now. — 6 months ago

A bit more structured and serious than the median Chianti Classico. Nose takes a while to rev up but then shows bright ripe and slightly sour cherry, loads of minerality, and a fresh, almost floral note. Lean and vertical in the mouth, it’s got nice structure which the fruit is currently hiding behind. But you can tell that with a bit more time it will round out. Very nice. — 6 months ago
