Wonderful wine. This 14 is drinking at a much higher price point.

Enderle & Moll

Spätburgunder Rosé 2017

Nose has crushed raspberry, ripe red & black currants, sour cherry, sliced blood orange flesh & peel and faint green herbs.

Palate has tart cherry, ripe raspberry, plum skin, orange peel and green apple-like acidity.

Amazingly young, this is the most accessible, E&M Rosé, I've ever tasted. Most prior years, this bottle needs 24 hours of air and then it might show you its prowess, sometimes it may hold out for another day. Just fantastic, I can't wait to see how this one ages and experience new developments.

The best rose

Lewis Cellars

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Black raspberries dominate the palate. Integrated tannins for such a young boy. Medium acidity will lend to cellaring for a decade or more. Punch in the face Napa cab. Delicious — 4 years ago

Seven Stones Winery (USA)

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

This is really coming along nicely. It has shredded it’s harsh tannins and has blossomed into a beauty. Blackberry is the predominant berry fruit, with a hint of plums. Cocoa, espresso, and a nice dusty note. Very good. — 4 years ago

Domaine Tempier

Bandol Rosé Blend 2018

Undoubtedly my favorite rosé. Classic Bandol freshness. Traditional blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Cinsault. Ripe melon and peach candy on the nose. The melon and juicy peach flavors carry on the palate and are mixed with guava, sea salt, wet stones, and crisp minerality. This is actually a bit of a baby, will continue to develop nicely over the next few years. — 4 years ago

Di Costanzo

Farella Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Alex Lallos

Exceptional. Best under $100 Napa cab bar none. Ultra plush with pure velvet tannins. Loads of fruit and exceptionally well defined. Would love to try with some age. Awesome with prime rib tonight — 4 years ago

< $100 is a very competitive segment. Based on prior vintages from this producer, I’m looking forward to trying this vintage.

Château Mouton Rothschild

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1992

I wasn’t expecting much from this. After all, I never had a 92 Bordeaux nor have I ever seen one! But it was good. Fully mature. Classic older Bordeaux without all those barnyard flavors. — 4 years ago
