This is really coming along nicely. It has shredded it’s harsh tannins and has blossomed into a beauty. Blackberry is the predominant berry fruit, with a hint of plums. Cocoa, espresso, and a nice dusty note. Very good.

Wow! One of the better 2011s I've tried. Very smooth and a great nose, yet can lay down for years to come. Well done Aaron!

Smooth up front, very nice grain of tannin, bit of alc showing on the finish.

Blue berry and other dark fruit, well balanced for this vintage. Fairly tannic, but nicely integrated. Really tasty

One of the best of Napa Valley. Layered, lush and significantly better on day 2

I find the QPR on this one to be a bit poor. Just being honest. Pott made wine. This one has a lot of blackberry, blueberry. Some pepper on the finish with some graphite going on from start to finish. Bit of a roasted sweeter tannin. Not the most complex wine, but definitely another good wine from 'the damned' 11 vintage. I think this needs a couple more years in the bottle.

This has all the classic big Cabernet things you will want in a glass of wine. Cigar box and dark fruits in the nose. Touches of tobacco, chocolate and rich fruits develop in your mouth and lingers wonderfully. This is a very nice glass of wine. After the decanting the second glass gets even better.

Last wine of the night, had set this aside then realized we had not opened it and those who stayed to the very end wanted one more glass. This really stood out or our pallets were shot (maybe a combo). Really in a nice place and no hint of green flavors that some of the 11’s are known for. A little older than what we had been drinking all night and the consensus was it was “softer”. I first stated buying these in the 2006 vintage and I’m glad I did, Aron Pott does great things with these grapes.

This is amazingly good for a 2011. Aaron Pott was great across the board with this vintage. Beautiful fruit and a cool herbal aspect. Very classically structured. Just lovely.
