Les Picasses Chinon Cabernet Franc 2016

First go with the ‘16 and it’s got the blackberry, plum, tobacco and mineral that just goes on and on. A silky 12.5% it rivals any previous vintage. Drunk over 3 days and it’s still elegant at the last sip. — 2 years ago

Cruse Wine Co.

Monkey Jacket North Coast Red Blend 2019

Bargain find in Houston TX. Lovely blend of pepper, blackberries and cranberries and the slightest hint of effervescence that gives lift. Enjoyed outside in 90 degree Texas humidity and was light as a feather. Perfect example of the balance that can be achieved with California wines. — 2 years ago

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2016

Opens up with dark cherries, pomegranate, plums. Then hint of earth and smoke. Nice finish with light acidity and very easy to drink. — 2 years ago

20 Years Old Tawny Port Blend

Probably the best wine I’ve purchased from Costco. It’s not cheap compared to other Costco offerings- but it’s much less cost with similar quality than the $90+ or more bottles of 20 year tawny port I’ve enjoyed. It’s just so smooth and complex that I don’t feel I need to describe the flavors profile. It’s complete. — 2 years ago

A great value, and IMO the 20 is the best out of the 10/20/30/40Y versions of this Tawny.

Senior Faß 6 Ayler Riesling 2020

Popped and poured; enjoyed over three days. Consistent across the three days but seemed to be a little more open on Day 3. No formal notes. Loads of character in this wine. Star fruit, pear, lemon, gardenias, petrol and a massive amount of minerals: rocks and ferrous material. Absolutely sizzling with youthful energy. Long on the finish and wonderful acid. I want more. — 2 years ago

9.5

One of the best 17 vintage reds we have tasted. Beautifully balanced and textured. Right in the middle of its drinking window. So good we immediately bought more. — 2 years ago

Château Pontet-Canet

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

Dark ruby with red rim. Fruity on the nose, black and red fruit, cedar, black pepper, tobacco. Upon opening dry, fruit, earthy. Nice mouthfeel, chewy tannins, with a great long finish. Softened up in the glass. Drinking very well now but with many years left. — 2 years ago

Ryan Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012

The namesake of my brother, this was my first sampling of the Ryan Vineyard. It was outstanding! Through August, this is easily in my top 3 bottles so far this year! — 2 years ago
