I agree with others that this wine is much more complex on day 2. Nice and dry. — 7 years ago
From the town of Tramine. Mountain grass and lychee. A great way to discover Gewürztraminer at its finest. — 9 years ago
Very expressive wine at this modest price. Unmistakable Dolomite character with lots of smoky, gamey components. Violets, wild blackberry, plum, peppercorn, savory dried herbs, cedar, licorice and a subtle umami inflection that is very suggestive of cured meat. Enough acidity to remain bright and lifted, and surprisingly soft tannins after just a quick splash in the decanter. This bottle may have been ever so slightly volatile but I would have a difficult time stating that definitively. Great wine for pairing with wild game- boar, venison, and the like. — 6 years ago
New world Pinot as it should be. Intensely flavored with fresh, ripe fruit rather than oak. Sharp acid and medium body, with a long finish of that same fruit. Thanks @Derek Haas — 9 years ago
Kelley’s Pinot Gris spends almost 3 weeks on the skins with foot treading once each day. You can imagine the resulting flavor explosion. Think cranberries and crushed wild flowers and a refreshing mineral water finish. This is the type of rosé that can stand up to a full flavored dish! 😋💖 — 5 years ago
Sweet honey, apple, & petroleum aromas. Syrupy, sweet notes of honey, golden apple, oak, caramel, & light minerality. Medium-minusacidity. Dessert in a glass. — 7 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Founded in 2007, very nice small production Pinot, 662 cases. The ‘17 has grapes from all six blocks at Maresh, had another bottle, last tasted 10 months ago. Very Light Ruby (lightest Pinot I ever had), floral and fruit aromas, very light almost crisp. On the palate flavors of bing cherry and fresh strawberry with elegant spice. Fine tannins, long ending with fruit, refined spice and mineral notes. Great drinking now, will run few years and bring out more complexity. Nice! — 5 years ago
