Last bottle from my WSJwine introductory case. Not one of my favorites.

I agree with others that this wine is much more complex on day 2. Nice and dry.

Extremely dry, almost acidic taste. Tart aftertaste. Not an enjoyable wine.

Not bad.

Balanced, slightly dry, hint of raspberry. Very good. UPDATE: Original rating was shortly after uncorking. Decanted, this wine is a 95.

Certainly a bit of a letdown with this #bordeaux - Nice vanilla nose with cassis blended with leather and spice. The taste fails to deliver on that aroma promise. A bit of pepper initially on the sip but thin body, harsh tannins and some bitterness in the finish.
