Boundary Breaks Vineyard

Finger Lakes Extra Dry Riesling 2017

Superb balance as even though it’s dry it has lots of body and mouthfeel. Lots of Riesling character. The only weak area imho is that it finishes a bit harsh and does not linger. But another really fantastic wine from this top producer. — 10 days ago

Lighter pinot, fresh, well-defined flavours of cherries and vanilla, not dry, with a very pleasant lingering finish. Pleasantly surprised given others’ reviews that it was too light. — 2 days ago

Seneca Lake Dry Riesling 2016

Good lord this is delicious. On the nose, wet granite, lemon curd, guava. In the mouth, searing acidity, lemon curd, crystal-bright minerals, guava, touch of residual sugar. Just a super clean beautiful wine. Long finish. — 8 days ago

Just outstanding! Slate and crab apple aromas and flavors. Hints of honey, orange zest and a touch of fresh mint. Full and round. Light gold color and racy acidity. High quality easy drinker. More Please. — 7 days ago

Tanzen Dame Riesling 2014

This has greatly improved over the past 3 years in bottle. On the nose, funky overripe pears, fresh apple cider and petrol. In the mouth... all kinds of weirdness...in a good way. Pear, wet rock, forest shrubs after a rain (we called them “mountain misery” when I grew up - I don’t know what they are really called). High acid, long finish. This producer is one of the most interesting in the US. — 15 days ago

Really nice. Fruity, sweet citrus and tangy. Long Island can do wonderful things. If you ever find yourself in the north fork check out this place. Very cute couple making this wine. She’s a bee keeper and runs the tasting room and he makes the wine. — 5 days ago

Wow. I’m kinda blown away here. This stuff is awesome. Tastes like it’s straight out of Europe. One of the best American gewurz I’ve had. Slightly viscous. Pears, baking spice, maybe a touch of melon. Finishes w some tobacco notes. And nutmeg. Only 147 cars so it’s made w love and care. Wish I had more. — 20 days ago

Juicy ripe strawberry, macerated strawberry, barnyard/animal, hay/straw, Watermelon + rind, dried herbs, chalk. Tart, tight plate with tart watermelon (does this exist?), tangy acidity, more strawberry, and a very, very tiny effervescent lift — 10 days ago
