A little more beauty & fine elegance over the 2020.
Nose shows nice ripe, dark core fruits with fresh dark floral and spice.
The palate shows; lush mouthfeel with thick, ripe M+ tannins, blackberries, black raspberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, plum, creamy raspberries & purple fruits, fresh & dry tobacco, used raw leather, nice mid level baking spices, crushed, dry limestone, dry top soil, mix of some fresh & dry herbs, excellent level of dark spice-not overdone, anise, caramel, milk & dark chocolate, dark & red flowers framed in liquid violets, excellent round acidity with a velvety, lush, elegant finish that is very well balanced, structured that lasts 90 seconds. — 3 months ago
Lovely for it's age. A bit dusty on the nose, with a bright orange-red color. Smooth, lightly tannic. 39% Merlot, 34% Syrah, 26% Cab Sauv, 1% Petit Verdot. — 5 days ago
Coombville is generally picked later. Some really late like Kobalt. Mark Herold picked this just about right. It is not overly sweet but has some sweetness.
Still loving the 2021’s. Rounding up to 94 here. The 2023’s aren’t out yet. Later next year, but I am hearing it maybe be better than 21. We’ll see…hearing that so far from people that have to sell it.
The is really nice blackberries, black raspberries, plum, dark cherries, creamy raspberries, black tea, black licorice, sandy loamy limestone earth, good presence of dark spice w/o much heat, as well, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, touch of vanilla, dark, turned earth, dry tobacco, used leather, dark flowers that are a combination of fresh & withering flowers, a nicely balanced, well made structured, tensioned, elegant finish that lasts 90 seconds and starts juicy and lands on spice & top soil. — 3 months ago

The 2022 is just so epic. Gorgeous and provocative nose of ripe cherries, damson berries and a you can almost smell the treacly texture. Raspberry and cherry flower as well. Just amazing fruit captured on the nose. Truly wow. Palate is gorgeous, textured and deep with terrific acidity and freshness and a dramatic opulence to it as well. Just stunning and so juicy. This is just as perfect for what it is as one can get. As it airs the structure becomes more substantial and my god the tiny berry fruit intensity is remarkable. Gorgeous wine. The finish now is stunning mineral and fleshy red cherries. Almost 9.6. Picks up insane finesse now with air. What a wine! — a month ago
No tanins, smooth flavor. Easy to drink — 5 months ago

2021 vintage. Medium body but filled with old-school passion, love and flavors. More than a hint of mint on the thrashing, tannic finish. Previous, similarly priced efforts from this producer left me indifferent/cold. It takes a lot to awaken certain things these days but this one got the overly jaded California Cab palate fired up again. 01.15.25. — 4 days ago
