Jun 6th, 2017To round up of my first 300 notes a Cornas flight. This is the 12. Very dark almost black. Funky brett yesterday but 12 hours later -! Grapey nose concord grape like? Then cinnamon and allspice. On the palate big long dense elderberry, black tea a hint of tar a powerhouse.

Jul 23rd, 2016Well wine still awesome. I drink this now with Christoph Ebner an old friend at the Anza Borrego State Park. Some bottle shock as we drove it through the dessert but still awesome. Really great stuff expensive but worth it. Prefer the 12 over the 13. And by the way Jason who imports this wine is a great guy.

Mar 4th, 2016Dried plums. It's not peppery or spicy. Very dark cherries. I would not age this wine its delicious now. A beauty to share with friends and discuss what cold climate Syrah is all about. I have a feeling that it will do better now then later on. Mark Haisma makes great wines mostly burgundy they have only recently been imported if you find one buy it!
