I’ve only had a few California Tempranillo wines, but I’m finding that I like them a lot. This one is a blend of 94% Tempranillo and 6% Petite Sirah. It’s dark in color and fruit profile, but very approachable and lighter on its feet than expected. Ready now, or drink over the next few years.

94% Tempranillo 6% Petite Syrah. Got some stuffing. Good amount of tannin but nice acid and freshness to balance. Great mineral component. Not overly complex this would probably benefit from a few more years in the cellar. Great pizza/bbq wine if you’re fancy.

I really like Acha. Tempranillo with a splash of petite sirah. Dark and dense, coats your teeth. The '09, to me, is better but this might eventually be better.
