Dark reddish purple with near black core. Inviting nose and medium full palate of ashy blueberry, red blackberry, and high-cocoa dark chocolate. Dusty, medium plus tannins present (but not assertive) from entry. Medium acidity wrapped up in it all, and a lengthy finish wraps it all up. Classic California PS with enough stuffing for the connoisseur, but still enough approachability for the novice. Drink now through 2030. — a year ago
Excellent- a little heavier than most. Would buy again. — 11 days ago
2002. Wow. Beautiful and elegant. Only 10% abv according to the label but I’d guess higher. Petrol, honey, Corn Pops cereal, dill, mandarin oranges, golden raisin. This is amazing. — 5 months ago
2016. It’s Tignanello, man. Still very young but so concentrated and smooth. Bit oaky - sure this will be a 95+ pointer when the oak melts off and tertiary flavors appear. $100 BK, $120 most other places. — 3 years ago

The description: The 2022 Pinque has classic strawberries and cream characters along with watermelon and a touch of Szechuan pepper. The 2022 vintage was warm and dry and correspondingly this wine is relatively low in acid making for a very smashable wine, although like all our wines there is plenty of subtle complexity to delight the taster. Enjoy! The opinion: in total agreement.

Deep rusty garnet color. Smells like smoke and black licorice. Notes of tar and cherries. Tart, peppery aftertaste. Develops cranberry notes. — 6 days ago
