A perfect summer wine! Light, dry, unfiltered. — 5 years ago
Light gold. Looks young. Took 5 hours to open up and show its stuff. In hour 6 this was cruising. Saline and sea shells, wispy lemon fruit, some honey, some white stone. The guesses from the fellas were 2002 Rav Clos and 1996 Rav Valmur. Shows how these properly stored aged Raveneaus can age effortlessly. — 6 years ago
Ripe, Primary. Not very descriptive. Overripe NoCal Syrah is definitely not my jam. More for the other fellas. A well made wine but not my style and I’d never buy it. — 7 years ago
Another weekly wine Committee lunch that I was able to attend, hosted by @Weston Eidson & @Colby Siratt . Excellent job, fellas! All wines tasted blind as usual.
Wow! Not only was this my red of the day, it was the wine of the day. The nose on this, whether it was where it was placed in the line up or just the American Oak, was profound. A wine that I would be ok only smelling. Coconut and dill on the nose. Very silky textured on the palate, with Mexican vanilla and a kick of blackberries. Fantastic! — 9 years ago

This was my White of the day. Intoxicating nose of honeycomb and tart melon. Very sweet finish. My guess was German Riesling...not too far off on the area at least! — 9 years ago
Fruity / sweet aftertaste. Dinner w the fellas - 🎲 🎲 — 2 years ago
Dark reddish amber. Deep color in the center, opaque; clear rims showing its age. Great nose… my wife would say “stinky feet”, something I just call “the funk”. Notes of black cherry, gravel, violets, musty cellar and black pepper. Very much alive in the glass and showing lots of fruit when it hits the mouth. Guesses by the fellas were early 90s La La, and one 78 La La. At first this was very much Cote-Rotie like, but with air it evolved into and out of acting as such. Pretty happy this has held up like it has. (Bday 10 of 12) — 5 years ago

At a very good drinking window. I don't foresee it getting much better in terms of fruit, so drink now if you've got it. Still some red licorice here as well as dried cranberries. More dusty and earthy notes coming out at this point. — 9 years ago

Awesome french champagne. All typical french champagne traits were present (brioche, crisp green apple, sweet lemon, loads of minuscule bubbles). Delicious. — 9 years ago

The fellas who run Les Lunes are best in the biz at Carignan. This, as it goes, is excellent Carignan, from a different block showing in the profile (but Delectable makes it hard to add a new wine). It's perfumed and elegant, loaded with spice and tannin, and about as fully steeped concentrated with flavor as anything you'll find in. Vietnamese cinnamon dusted raspberries, black plums, and cedar. Highly acidic, though not abruptly tart and with big, well integrated tannins. Light bodied and plenty of minerals to follow. — 6 years ago

I can probably count on one hand how many Sangiovese type wines I've had, so this was nice to try. This seems to be hitting a peak drinking window that will be open for a while. Lots of leather and charred black cherries. — 9 years ago

I believe this was my first Albariño, so it was hard to guess correctly here! Thought it was possibly an Alsatian Pinot Gris due to the oily and lengthy finish. — 9 years ago
