This bottle is showing a lot more age than the same bottle I had 2 weeks ago. Lacks some of the finesse of the last one.

2018 Fall dinner for the Confrerie St Etienne.

Gosh, do I love these wines. The American oak nose of vanilla, coconut and dill is intoxicating to me. Cedar, dried cherry and rhubarb pie, touch of barnyard funk on the tongue. Highly decorated wine and well deserving.

What a gem. Sweet integrated tannins, with stewed fruits and coconut. Button mushrooms on the finish. In a really nice place right now. Better than I remembered :) out of Coravin

Throughly enjoyable classic Rioja. Extremely well balanced and worth spending that shiny new penny on.

Pillars on which the 5 founding families erected a winery in 1890 built a way of living, feeling and producing wines of the highest quality that continue to evolve. Bright Ruby, complex fruit aromas, spice and oak. 90% Tempranillo from 3 villages & 10% Graciano from 2 villages. Ripe Cherry and Blackberry flavors, currant like, espresso & spicy notes on juicy tannins. Lingering finish brings this wine to an elegant ending, with mineral and earthy tones, a joy to Sip!! Tasting great, has more aging potential.

Had this 1 year ago, still great! The pillars on which the 5 founding families erected a winery in 1890 built a way of living, producing wines of the highest quality, still evolving. Not released until 2015, bright Ruby, complex fruit aromas, spice & oak. 90% Tempranillo from 3 villages & 10% Graciano from 2 villages. Cherry & blackberry flavors, with sweet currant focus, espresso & spicy notes on mouthwatering tannins. Wow! Lingering finish. Will get better over next 15 years. Just released ‘07, will try!

Had this at a Tapas Bar! The pillars on which the 5 founding families erected a winery in 1890 built a way of living, feeling and producing wines of the highest quality that continue to evolve. Not released until 2015, bright Ruby, complex aromas of fruit, spice and oak. 90% Tempranillo from 3 villages & 10% Graciano from 2 villages. Cherry & blackberry flavors, with a feel of currants around the core, espresso & spicy notes on mouthwatering tannins. Wow! Lingering finish. Will get better over next 15 years

Another weekly wine Committee lunch that I was able to attend, hosted by @Weston Eidson & @Colby Siratt . Excellent job, fellas! All wines tasted blind as usual.

Wow! Not only was this my red of the day, it was the wine of the day. The nose on this, whether it was where it was placed in the line up or just the American Oak, was profound. A wine that I would be ok only smelling. Coconut and dill on the nose. Very silky textured on the palate, with Mexican vanilla and a kick of blackberries. Fantastic!

The story behind getting to taste this wine is better than the wine. drinks like high quality Bordeaux. Amazing wine.
