Disgorged September 2018. A beautiful nose of white fruit, pastry, slightly toasted with custard hints (English cream), it also develops with more complexity with time in the glass and some air. The palate is superb, crisp acidity, it is mineral, such purity and precision, with lots of class and such elegance, beautiful .
92-93 — 6 years ago

SyrahSession#2Wine#1
Ruby, Violin, translucent and vibrant color. Gilliard is a Swiss domain in Valais. Cuvée honoring the fruit. Seductive nose on the freshness of youthful Syrahs: violet, lupine, blueberry and mountain berries... with aeration, pepper imposes itself along the entire length of the palate carrying a loose body without looking like it. The acidity is lively and brings charm to this tasting. The winemaking is fine and controlled. Northern expression of the syrah full of nuances, with contained strength.
— 4 years ago

Bright, concentrated hazy lemon yellow with flecks of marigold.
Very fragrant, with aromas of elderflower, dried apricot, unripe yellow peach, lychee, honeysuckle, red apple skin, sage, preserved lemon, candied ginger, white grapefruit, and almond skin, which carry through to the mouthwatering palate.
A complex intersection of floral, stone fruit, saline, and savory notes, this is a show-stopping wine and an incredible value at $30 retail. It’s dry and lightly tannic, with tangy acidity and a long and evolving finish.
I had this on its own and it was delightful. I’m certain it would be a fantastic pairing with a whole bunch of different dishes and cuisines, but I kind of feel like it deserves to be savored alone as the star of the show. — 4 years ago

As a Veteran, a nice gift from my Sister in law and her beau. Easy drinking Cabernet with strong dark fruit and some pepper. I thought it was a little sweet on 1st sip but it settled. Now to try and find some more as a conversation piece. I want to get to Normandy and visit...and drink wine! — 6 years ago

The nose on this thing is amazing! It’s tight and crispy acidity with the red fruit, with white pepper, celery, cranberry, underripe strawberries, maybe a little fennel, some salinity and maybe a little fresh mulch or forest floor. Medium bodied and a cranberry like color, with a little pale raspberry color. The palate has the same zippy acidity with some real tannin that sit well mid palate, while the fruit emerges to the sides. It’s got a little earth, great energy, and a long grippy finish and an impressive first impression for the Cucamonga Valley. — 6 months ago
