Surprisingly sturdy & closed. Needs at least 6h to open.
Bright cherry, some leather, a bit of dried tomato.
On the palate this is savoury, dry, a touch rustic with pronounced tannins and bright, juicy acidity. A hint of tobacco leaf & roast on the finish.
Needs a lot of time to open but paired with beef this just sings. A delight worth aging. — 2 months ago

Haven’t had this wine in a minute and it’s just as good as I remember. Perfect weeknight dinner or backyard cookout wine. Kirsch and raspberry fruit lead the way, with some sly stony, slate-like minerality in the back half of the palate. Soft and fresh. — 15 days ago
