Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay 2017

Salinity and ocean breeze on the nose. Holy s___t! Toasted oak tart green apple on the finish match stick on the front married with Meyer lemon. Long and soft — 7 days ago

Sur Lie Sélection des Cognettes Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Melon de Bourgogne 2015

2015 Vintage. 12% Alcohol. Lovely fresh white. Fooled me with the Muscadet designation as I thought this would be slightly sweet but was bone dry with good acidity and citrus. — 6 days ago

Thanks for your comment. I see from your profile you have tasted quite a few Chenin’s from the Loire valley. If you have not already done so, I recommend you try some South African Chenin’s as well as the better examples nowadays are of superb quality.

Les Pucelles Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2002

Just a fantastic premier cru white burgundy from Puligny. In a great spot to drink right now, but not at all over the hill. Sappy with excellent complex white fruits and incredible precision. Great acid on the very long finish. Delicious wine. — 6 days ago

Excellent bottle. Started off with hints reduction, sulfur and gun flint. Evolved into intense fruit of golden apple, pear and honey with white flowers. — 12 days ago

La Romanée Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2013

From the great Dancer, showing both power and richness, initially a bit tight requiring some time to breath. Match smoke, exotic citrus, lime zest and plenty of new oak. The wine finishes very clean and with excellent precision. — 17 days ago

Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay 1999

Light golden color and some nuttiness and butterscotch show its age and complement a mineral and fresh lemony core. Not as complex as would be ideal, but still very enjoyable unlike some prior bottles that were overly oxidized. — a month ago

"Les Beaumonts" Chorey-Les-Beaune Pinot Noir 2014

9.3

Find me a better Chorey. Complex and fragrant nose of raspberry coulis, smoke, tin, leather, smoke, minerals. So complex. Amazing raspberry cake. Stunning aroma. Palate is ripe and sweet with slippery fruit but firm tannins on the back end. Long finish and great quality tannins but firm tannins. Really long and raspberry hits along the way. Fantastic balance and purity. Age is key for Ledy and I see this improving a lot over the next 10 years. Terrific concentration and power. Also shows great finesse despite being a big bodied wine. — 13 days ago
