Nice flowery and fruity nose. I think I will keep my other bottles a few more years to see if and how it can develop further.
The acidity is at a nice very old balsamic level. — 2 years ago
Amphora, skin contact Pinot Grigio from Foradori. What’s not to like. This is amped up Pinot Grigio, savory, a little tannic and delicious. — 2 years ago
The 2020 Foscarino displays a beguiling mix of crushed oyster shells, slate, dried pears and lemon oil. It’s round, verging on opulent, with an inner sweetness; saline minerals add a tactile feel. It finishes fresh yet potent. Peach and vanilla custard nuances are punctuated by sour citrus. $25.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, January 2023) — 3 years ago
A nice bottle for a weekday dinner. Medium body, soft, balanced. Enjoyable. — 6 years ago
Spicy, crunchy red fruit on the nose. All cranberry, raspberry, with some smoke and minerality with some hints of natural wine musk. Color is super light and pale, cranberry like red, with a light body and a beautiful, fruit punch of a palate. Flavor lingers for a loooong time, fresh with nicely integrated minerality, a little tartness in there, but dry, with all that juicy fruit, with that same kinda volcanic, smoky element skulking in the background. Great chilled, easy drinking juice that punches way over its weight class! — 5 months ago
Not sure where I am at with Timorasso but this wine had a lot going on. Fascinating aromatics and crisp and lively on the palate. — a year ago
Gold hue. Aromas and flavors of apple, apricot, bell pepper, lemon, and petrol, with a hint of grass and creamy notes. Medium body with medium-plus acidity. Silky and rounded mouthfeel. Complex bouquet. Elegant and balanced, with a lasting finish. — 2 years ago
Love it! Juicy AF. Minerally. Good with spicy shakshouka. I'd keep a bottle of this on hand all the time. — 3 years ago
Nice fruit and freshness. I’m not normally a huge Pinot Grigio drinker but this really hit the spot. — 4 years ago
Pian Dell’Orino Vigneti del Versante Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2014: Smooth & elegant. Lively acidity. Medium tannins. Nice cherry bouquet. Red fruits. Leather. Herbs. Earth. Powerful long finish. All in all, I love this Brunello! Call me a creature of habit but this is my happy place. Grilled marinated skirt steak and a bottle of Brunello! Great weekend to all! Cheers🍷 — 5 years ago
VERY good cheap bottle. Fruity. Good with pizza on a Tuesday. — 7 years ago
Highly recommend, such a smooth and pleasant wine. This wine is from Italy’s Alto Adige Valley. — 6 months ago
Some buzz around this producer so approached with some anticipation. Restrained white flowers & confectionery Turkish delights on nose; mouthfeel quite smooth & elegant, w a stronger Riesling & Chenin Blanc presence, more of those white flowers & some RS. I’ve aged some other producers Timorasso w excellent results so see no reason this can’t do same, but this is drinking well young too. — a year ago
Terre di San Leonardo is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (40%), and Carmenere (10%), run by the Gonzaga family since its inception in 1724. Wine is fermented with ambient yeasts in concrete tanks and 20% is aged in French oak barrels. Ruby with aromas ripe red fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of rich plum and blackberry with herb, light spice and slight earthy notes. Medium+ finish, fine soft tannins, ending with fruit, floral and earthy mineral character. Tremendous value! — 4 years ago
Been a while since I’ve had this in my glass. Oh how I’ve missed thee! Similar to what I remember about Morei, it carries some nice flesh and roundness to it, seems more open knit. Finessed and elegant, brimming with purity and freshness. Crushed morello cherry, pomegranate, blood orange, juniper, bitter herbs, rocks, licorice root, smoke. I want to say its too young but its energy and refreshing nature make it hard to argue keeping it. — 6 years ago

Obviously too young but on our last night in Italy couldn’t resist for the price to pair with a milanese veal cutlet. Glad we have a case of the 2021 riservas in storage. So classic and delicious. — 24 days ago
