A slightly richer, fruitier style of high altitude Malbec (hot vintage?) with ripe plum & dark cherry, elegantly integrated wood aging. This is supple yet elegant, smooth and with good depth. Quite sophisticated and yet so delicious. A true crowd pleaser and with very good reason! — 3 months ago

I really love this wine, biological.. smooth and with a great persistent. It is not too much alcoholic even if it is 14°. — 5 months ago
I’ve had three bottles of this in the cellar for the last few years and, for no particular reason, haven’t touched them. Tonight I thought I’d pull the cork on one to enjoy with Manchego and Serrano ham, as an appetiser ahead of some Spanish cuisine at home tonight. I can’t recall where I bought these, but they weren’t expensive - and this wine certainly overdelivers for the price. It has a classical, fresh bouquet of blanched almonds, nectarines, and clementines. The palate is medium bodied, juicy, saline and fresher still, with a hint of orange bitters on the finish. Enjoyable stuff! — 7 months ago
Pale straw in color; peaches, rose petals, and citrus zest on the nose; medium acidity; tastes like lemon, perfume, and lychee (I think). Nellie says it's ok. A little too tart for her tastes. I like it and I think it will pair well with ceviche. — 3 months ago
The last and probably the best bottle from a lot of four purchased from our local importer. There was quite a bit of bottle variation in our Malaysian importer’s 19’ Envinate release - the Migan’s and Palo Blanco’s were quite the rollercoaster ride - but the Vinas de Aldea seemed to have gotten the good side of the container. Like the last bottle, this was full of floral elegance and tangy energy. Super complex aromas of violets, ripe cherries, sweet herbs, pepper, and a touch of coffee and flint. All finesse on the palate, but has depth too. Sweet red fruits, bittersweet herbs, umeshu, and an absolutely lovely, Mosel-esque slatey minerality; finishing sharp with grippy, chalky tannins. For me it was firmly in that red kabinett territory, and downright perfect with our fatty Angus picanha. Loved it! — 6 months ago
