Monte Xanic

Calixa Valle de Guadalupe Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah 2022

Medium ruby in color; cassis, black plums, graphite on the nose; medium plus acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like black pepper, black olives, blackberries, and a hint of eucalyptus with a long finish. — 10 months ago

Great wine. As I’ve mentioned before, one of the better Mexican wines I’ve tasted. Cheers. — 2 years ago

Very good blend. Frankly did not expect too much from it but I am pleasantly impressed. — 4 months ago

Valle de Guadalupe/San Vicente Amado IV Red Blend 2018

Excellent wine. Fantastic backbone with crisp tannins and vibrant acidity. Bright dark red fruit with a nice edge that makes it a perfect match with asada tacos! — 2 years ago

Gran Ricardo Valle de Guadalupe Red Blend 2021

My first Mexican wine. Dry, dark, but light bodied. — 2 months ago

Mogor-Badan

Chasselas del Mogor 2023

Light, crisp and clean in its own, some body to it, picked up the spice of a mole mussel bite, with increased salinity and flavor to the finish. — 4 months ago

Monte Xanic

Valle de Guadalupe Chenin Colombard 2022

Had the 2022 in January of 2024 with chicken tinga. What a nice little wine. Minerality and a touch of citrus with some floral on the nose. Hints of lime on the tongue and a hint of hibiscus on the nose. This was a lot like a New Zealand sauv blanc but with a softer punch. Enjoyed this and wondering about going through the hassle of obtaining this one again. Definitely would if it was easier to get. — a year ago
