The 2021 Vacqueyras was very impressive. A bit more fruit forward than others. The impressive Kirkland Vacqueyras is dryer and better priced, but the Pierre Amadieu has more depth. Both are the real thing from Rhône. — 4 months ago

Young & bold tannins with smooth presence & brighter future. Savor now or hold a few years perhaps — 14 days ago
Cute label with a nautilus. Pretty color with a hint of rose petals. Smells like hibiscus red zinger tea and cranberry sauce. Flavors are mellow and warm. Fruits in a toasted Danish. Finish is tannic yet likable. — 2 months ago
The description: Elegant, well rounded and medium bodied style. Aromatic persistence in the mouth and soft, silky tannins ripening slowly.
The opinion: Needs a few more years to deepen its flavour — a year ago

Another great bottle. 2009 out of 500ml (was meant for bistro and not import). Lovely from a ripe year. I prefer the less ripe / more restrained versions but this is as good as vacqueras gets. The new vintages are top notch but fun to try these older ones as well: modern and plush but still some old school roots. For around $20 it’s pretty insane (email me alex@nolimitfinewines.com and I’ll send you two bottles for the price of one) — 5 years ago

2021 vintage. Last tasted 3.19.25 (9.2). Decanted and tasted after one hour. Was medium-medium heavy body but gained some weight in the last year. Now medium heavy. Smoky nose. Velveteen fruit. Nice spice complexities on the delish finish. Pre-tariff resto cost was $19.90 a bottle. 70% Grenache. 15% Syrah. 15% Mourvèdre. Absolute steal. 1.30.26. — a day ago
