Bonofiglio Vineyard "Unsung Hero" Viognier Blend 2019

Very bright and floral with some tannic grip from the skin contact. Kind of one note though overall (even though it’s a pretty nice note).
Edit: just tried this again on day 2. This is definitely better after being open. Overall palate is more complex.

Granit Mineral Selection Monção e Melgaço Alvarinho 2018

W&S Top 100, it’s not Soalheiro, it’s not Sol-way-oh, it’s Soul-Hero. If Portugal has Grand Cru Alvarinho, this is the producer leading the charge. — 7 months ago

Old Vines Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

At a tasting on Long Island at Lenz. Amazing wines. Gerald let us taste some older vintage, my hero, but the 2013 old vine cab and 2014 malbec will rival anything I've had cheers — a year ago

Nobody's Hero Pinot Noir 2018

Red jello in color. Starts off with a smooth bright berry infusion before it stings slightly in a radikal way just like the philosophy behind the wine is. Finishes off with a smooth long aftertaste with a vanilla zest. — 3 months ago

Domaine Etienne Daulny

Le Clos de Chaudenay Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2017

2017. Classic Verdigny: not as elegant and austere as Bué, but still quite chiseled and fine, with more papaya/mango fruitiness. Razor-sharp acids and old vine intensity and length. Daulny may not be an unsung star of Sancerre much longer... — a year ago

One Last Kiss Red Blend 2016

Bouquet of raspberries and plums. Initial burst of black cherries and a partial sweet taste. A quick finish. — 3 months ago

Bionic Frog Walla Walla Valley Syrah 2004

I’m waiting for the television adaptation of this wine wherein the main character, the assertive anti-hero is a bionic frog named Syrah and wears a black synthetic cape that smells a bit like oranges. — a year ago
