This Duriff (Petite Syrah) is actually produced in the Barossa Valley of Australia. Calabria is the name of family who founded the winery. A powerful and dense wine that is somewhat soft and subtle at the same time. Big aromas and flavors of blackberry, bakers chocolate and vanilla oak. Beautiful structure and depth. Firm grained tannins with a long warming finish. Solid. — 4 years ago

Ripe fruit, good acid, balanced and finish well. Drinking 2012 in Aug '24, fantastic bottle to share on a late summer evening paired with prime tenderloin, with my beautiful wife. — 8 months ago

So freaking good at 25 years. So fresh. A lot of earth and forest but also good fruit and balance still. Leather dried cherry, cinnamon stick, what a wine! Celebrating a huge birthday! — a month ago
