Trebbiano Malvasia Blend

Monastero Suore Cistercensi

Coenobium Ruscum Lazio Bianco Trebbiano Blend 2022

The nose is evocative of autumn on multiple sensory levels, with aromas of fennel fronds, chamomile tea, almonds, and tangerine that lead into a full but delicately rendered palate. Vitorchiano’s volcanic soils come through with a somber smoke-iron interplay, and glowing acidity lets the savory flavors coat the mouth, yet the overall impression is one of freshness and drinkability. — 12 days ago

Vintage Tunina Venezia Giulia White Blend 2010

The color concerned me, but this was still going strong. Just enough acidity.
Friuli field blend of Sauv Blanc, Chard, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia and Picolit. Fingers crossed that my 2006 will show as well!

Il Garrulo Chianti Colli Senesi Sangiovese Blend 2021

Deep ruby rose color, with violet hints over a medium body. Nose is rich, with rose petal, orange peel, peppery hints and maybe some baked rhubarb or berry jam with hints of pine and wet wood. The palate is vanilla, rose, raspberry compote, and beautifully integrated tannin that grip but don’t dry, with big meaty, almost jerky like notes that linger for a long time, with a taste of bbq sauce on the finish. — 4 months ago

Paolo Bea

Santa Chiara Umbria Bianco Malvasia Blend 2019

Pours a copper-gold color that will immediately make you wonder if this has been oxidized, but apparently that's the style. Like their reds, they seem to turn everything up to 11 in Montefalco.

After decanting in the glass, aromas of toffee, white flowers, almonds, bitter oranges, and minerals. Very funky and interesting, but not something I'd hand innocent wine drinkers.
