DoubleWood Aged 12 Years Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Balvenie Doublewood 12yr - the nose is light with a hint of wood. On the palate you get a bit more power and a full mouth warmth. Finish gives you more of that wood and heat. It’s a good, easy drinker. Won’t go out of my way to get but wouldn’t feel bad if given a dram. — 10 days ago

21 Years Old Gran Reserva Rum Cask Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21yr - Light, sweet nose. Short pour which might affect. I’m getting a bit of plastic on the flavor. Sweet, light finish. — 7 months ago

Craigellachie

Aged 13 Years Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

One of the most fascinating single malts I’ve ever had. This is not for beginners. It’s oily and industrial in the best way, with notes of grain, honey and oak. I liked it a lot, but it felt incomplete, maybe a little one note. Certainly not an everyday drinker, but it was definitely educational. I’m looking forward to trying some of their alternative barrel offerings. EDIT: This grew on me like Kudzu, baby. I LOVE this whisky. The more I drank the more complex and interesting it became. Bruichladdich

The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley Unpeated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A really fantastic summer scotch with notes flowers, grass, yeast, and freshly picked grains. It really jumps out of the glass with a freshness and vibrancy you’d expect more from a champagne or beer. Not super deep or rich, but that’s what makes it refreshing. Good deal too. — 10 months ago
