A really fantastic summer scotch with notes flowers, grass, yeast, and freshly picked grains. It really jumps out of the glass with a freshness and vibrancy you’d expect more from a champagne or beer. Not super deep or rich, but that’s what makes it refreshing. Good deal too. — 6 months ago

One of the most fascinating single malts I’ve ever had. This is not for beginners. It’s oily and industrial in the best way, with notes of grain, honey and oak. I liked it a lot, but it felt incomplete, maybe a little one note. Certainly not an everyday drinker, but it was definitely educational. This is a great tipple as the weather cools down in the Southern Hemisphere. From Islay with plenty of peat and smokiness. A maritime seaweed note. Some say Laphroaig is even more peaty but for me, the jury is still out on that one. — 8 months ago

Super rich and decadent with a wave of dark stewed fruits like plums, cherries and strawberries. It’s incredibly fruit forward, but not too sweet. There’s a background of black strap molasses and strong maltiness. Incredibly balanced for such a flavorful dram. A phenomenon winter whisky. — 8 months ago
