The 2020 Pinot Noir Royal St. Robert is a very pretty, nuanced wine. Crushed red berry fruit, mint, dried flowers, herbs and a kiss of orange zest all grace this mid-weight, beautifully perfumed Pinot. There is very slight touch of astringency in the tannin, but that is a very small critique for a Pinot that offers so much sensuality and pure class. This is an impressive showing from Raen. A blend of about 40 crus from the Champagne region, with Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and about one-third Chardonnay, aged for almost 3 years. Fresh vibrant champagne, fruit/floral bouquet, w/chalky minerals. Fine bubbles, nice mousse, rich flavors of peach, lemon and honey, well balanced, good structure, creamy. Long finish ending with yeast & mineral notes. Very consistent quality. — 4 days ago
Very nice dessert wine with good residual sugar but not overly sweet. Some honeydew and stone fruits but nothing crazy like Sauternes. Good way to finish a big meal. — 2 months ago
Very bright and punchy with a dry finish
Granny smith apples rinsed in spring water
Would pair well with chicken or a cream based dish — 10 days ago
Hungarian Furmint made by Huet owners and it shows. Starts off appley & sour patch, but morphs into high toned honeycomb, iodine, & endive. Imagine it would still evolve in glass if we had given more air. Like a baby Huet at 21$ on sale. Yowza. — 2 months ago

First Hungarian wine. Slightly dry and crisp with apple notes and big minerality. Really interesting! — 10 days ago
