Great fill, first 2/3 of the cork came out via Ah-So, last 1/3 via waiters’corkscrew (and no residue pieces left in bottle), lovely honeyed, buttery, saline, mineral and dried fruit aromas and flavors, spot on balancing acidity, not youthful but extremely fresh and lively on the palate, better than the 1986 Clos and 1989 Valmur opened 1-2 months ago, I remain extremely impressed by the 1989s, long, lingering finish, absolutely outstanding 1er Cru Chablis!! — 12 days ago

Light golden in color.

Beautiful nose of honeydew, apples, honeysuckle, tropical fruits, spices and melons.

Full-bodied with high acidity and long legs.

Sweet on the palate with apples, citrus, mangoes, spices, honeysuckle, herbs, honey and light earth.

Long finish with sweet honey notes.

This delicious 9 year old Sauternes is drinking beautifully now. Complex and interesting. Elegant and fruit forward. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.

Feels very fresh, but a bit subdued and earthier right now, compared to other vintages. Will continue to age nicely in the next 40 years.

Loved the nose more than the palate here. So expressive.

Wine Spectator 96 points. Robert Parker 99 points.

A blend of 75% Sémillon and 25% Sauvignon Blanc. Aged in all new French oak barrels for 24 months. Drank from a 750ml bottle.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several days. Consistent throughout. The 2018 pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Bartlett pear, passion fruit, lanolin, honeysuckle and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and soooooo wooly. These Sandlands Chenin Blancs are fun with some age. Drink now through 2033. — 19 days ago

On the nose, the wine is developing with bright green apple, star fruit, citrus tree blossom, lemon curd and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is long. This is a baby but there’s already a lot of material here. The texture is extraordinary. Expect a long life ahead. It’s been five years since I last had the 2000 vintage of P2 and looking back on my notes, not a whole lot has changed though the autolytic notes seem to be more integrated into the entire package.

On the nose, ripe golden apple, raspberry, ripe soft rind cheese, a touch of mushrooms, lemon/lime citrus and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid.
