Magnum, ready to be drinked — a year ago
This charming wine is keeping me company while I bake tonight. User reviews are all over the place, but in my humble opinion, this 2022 is very good. A light bodied Neb, with bright juicy fruit, bitter but pleasant floral, and a tasteful kiss of oak which lends some depth. Good holiday wine.

Unwound rich cherries, happy tartness with a bit of terra firma on the finish. — a year ago
So nice! My type of wine!

Cute, classy label. Nice classic color. Smells like wood and berry stuff. Flavors are elegant and complex. A good tart streak to go with a lot of other complex stuff. Strange and succulent. A nice way to Pinot. — 9 months ago
This Sangiovese is a fairly dark wine which smells of cherries, plums and blackberries with a mineral-driven overlay and some sweet oak spice. The palate has plenty of fruit, too, as well as a savory aspect that lingers on the finish. The tannins are firm - pair it with meat dishes or sauces and aged cheeses. — 4 years ago

These are recalled impressions, not contemporaneous notes, from two nights ago, when the family council of elders met for a steak/wine pairing event at my brother Angelo’s house.
I love this style of Brunello. Great balance of deep cherry fruit and terra cotta earthiness. Tannins resolving. Went especially well with the steak that was grilled with garlic and rosemary. — 5 days ago
