A lovely smoky dark dried plum with notes of sherry and dried apricot. Great texture and balance. Though the fruit is more to the brown, Madeira end of the spectrum it is Still remarkably fresh and polished. A soulful, fascinating wine. — 3 months ago

Awesome bottle. medium dark amber robe, nose of compote fruits and flowers, very rich and decadent in the mouth but with a sort of drier finish on a fresh and balanced note. Would have never even hinted at 1937 had we tasted blind. Very very young Barsac that makes you think of the 70s good vintages. Top stuff and wish we had bought a couple more bottles...

Just opened: Potpourri, dried roses and violets, ash, tons of
Rock and earth with still medium intensity of aromatics. palate is very high acid with super fine sandy tannins, strawberry liqueur but dry, finishes with balsamic and bitter herbs. There’s a toffee/caramelized quality to it, without RS
After 40 minutes the wine is even better. Fruit took 30 mins to show, then became quite present with dry strawberries and a surprising freshness. After one hour it started going slightly downhill with lower aromatic intensity.

Colheita from 1937. Cool to try, and still drinkable, but not epic necessarily. — a day ago
