Oh… là on parle! Une belle robe jaune doré, léger pétillant, belle acidité, bien balancer, mielleux, abricot, rose, pommes verte. Superbe. LCBO $28, je l’ai eu en spécial $21! — 4 years ago
2018 vintage. Intriguingly the back label states 75% Sauvignon doré (never heard of that so will have to do some research) and 25% Sauvignon Gris. Vinified and aged in wood (with 25% new barriques). Aromatic, with bright fruit and perfectly integrated oak. Great value at 9,5 euros. — 5 years ago
Thought this #sangiovese was awesome considering most imports are sent with oak in mind. It's high acid and racy because it needs more time. Exceptional #wine in my opinion. True to varietal and plenty of room to grow. Subtlety damp, high acid, high cherry with a focused level of robustness, cherry skin. — 6 years ago

NOT Chardonnay. Bouzeron is the only Côte Chalonnaise appellation planted only with Aligoté Doré. Les Fias has 4.63 ha. of vineyard. Low in alcohol (12.5%), this crisp , dry & delicate, like a Chablis in training. Well balanced but not for aging. — 3 years ago
A little more citrusy than the definition Chenin, again perfect with food. Creamy, full bodied with a clean mouth feel. Would defo buy again. — 4 years ago

Lots of fizz and a yeasty nose. Apples and pears, dry, light, perfect for summer. — a year ago
2021. Had on day 1 and day 3 after opening with two different baked fish dishes. Tonight’s spicy mustard-ginger glazed salmon and charred Brussels sprouts turned out to be a great pairing for this aromatic field blend. — a year ago
I’m not a “natural wine” devotee necessarily, but I am a Martha devotee.
Out to The Meadow is almost always one of my favorites in her line up. Chenin driven, this wine shows the variety’s funkier side on the nose (honeysuckle, wet wool, hay, gray stones). On the palate, it balances sweet (honey, honeysuckle) and sour (incredible tart, barely ripe green apple, white nectarine); fruity, vegetal and just the right amount of bitter (at least for those of us with an bias towards Italian whites) with Vermentino’s unmistakable salty fennel/herbal/grapefruit pith on the finish. Have no idea what “green hungarian” and “chasselas doré” add to the blend, but I trust the master and her modern interpretation of what a century old California field blend would have looked and tasted like. — 4 years ago

Wet wool? Living by the beach my wool suits get that funk, not sure I want that smell when I open a bottle 🤷🏼♂️🫣
Blend of Viura, Albillo Mayor, Alarije (Malvasía Riojana), Jaen, Palomino and even Chasselas
doré from odd vines interplanted within Sabinares’ old vineyards’ predominant red varieties. Fermented in stainless steel, oak and concrete tanks, and aged with lees for nine months. Elegant and complex, with nuanced aromas of nuts, yellow fruit, quince and pollen and extraordinary acidity — 6 years ago
Aligoté doré from the village of Bouzeron (which boasts the best Aligoté in Burgundy and an AOC dedicated to this grape), by none other than Aubert de Villaine, legendary codirector of Domaine de la Romanée Conti. From old, low-yielding, organically farmed vines on the appellation’s highest slopes, vinified in foudres and aged for 10-12 months. Bright, elegant, complex and mineral. Dry but delicate. Apple.
