This 2009 Clos Des Epeneaux has off the chart depth. It comes with Pommard's signatory rustic masculinity in a much refiner way with incredibly complex earthy mushroom, black pepper and black current. Signatory Vintage Inverleven 31 Year 1977. Waxy right away with furniture polish on the nose and a very old-school feel. The palate is hot and a narrow. It mostly hits the tip of the tongue instead of really spreading across. The finish hangs around with wax and a slight bitter edge.
