Apple Juice coloring. Tight, white drift. Sticky subterranean banyan root lacing with mutated emus in hilly topography. Bright tangerine and red grapefruit nose also bringing lemon zest and lime. Caramel note peeking through magnolia blossom. Pops on the palate with pink and white grapefruit and just a hint of candied lemon peel, white pepper and pith. The lacing turns primitive moose scribble constellations in this local cluster. Great offering from a neighboring brewery.

Began as black olives for miles but betrayed its fruit roots quickly enough, with baked black cherry, and a black plum mash; black currant and gingerbread-mocha notes sparkling on its grainy veneer. Torn violet petals. Lots of sediment, or pigmented tartaric crystals. Super elegant and fleshy mouthfeel is perhaps its most compelling nuance. Black currant, soft leather, smoke, a scribble of pencil, snuffed wick, teak, and black tea. Bittersweet chocolate remains like a cloud, suspended while most aspects fade. Leather friction.

A smattering of tan spots, like Queen Anne’s lace, appear, then slip into the murk. An alar Geist remains, like a smeared mirror. Dried cherries and black currants with ripe huckleberry, dried fig,
cherry tobacco and a touch of licorice, coffee and peeled poppy. Bitter chocolate and dried bing cherries tear an astral hole of arabic in the thick spring veil of dried violets and cloves with a decidedly burnt edge to the currant. Valerian tendencies abound. Dark ghosts that scribble runes through carbon paper. — 7 years ago

Powerhouse red with cinnamon stick, smoky, black cherry, powdery graphite, blueberry powder, dried mint, leather, Indian corn, and anise seed. Rich, full mouthfeel envelops a dehydrated blueberry, black pepper, black currant, mint, oregano, endless graphite and charcoal stick that scribble beautifully in undulating patterns upon broken river rocks! Not a great vintage, but still an amazing wine with incredible depth. — 9 years ago
