Terrific varietal flavor, well balanced, delicious by itself or as a food wine. A bit more concentration and it would be at least 9.0. — 11 hours ago
Citrus notes with nice acidity and very balanced. Lingering finish. — an hour ago
Planted in 1971, the fruit was selected from the oldest section of Sanford & Benedict Vineyard. Aromas of berry fruit with subtle floral and spice, aged for 22 months in new French oak. On the palate raspberry and cherry fruit flavors, a bit crisp with light oak tones. Firm tannins, a bit tight, lingering, ending with mineral notes. Very nice, but needs a bit more time. — 17 days ago
Cherry, raspberry, cranberry, vanilla and hints of oak. Good structure and soft tannins. — 6 days ago
Fun afternoon at Classic with great company. Glad you could join us Bryan.
Brett with bandaid upfront on the nose. Very underripe fruit. Tart. Barnyard. Herbal with little to zero savory notes. Some iron too. Tobacco wrapped licorice. Still some great acidity. Not getting any better, so drink up. — 16 days ago
This is the first Pinot produced from this Kendall Jackson vineyard named after Jess Jackson’s daughter, Julia. A fruit forward wine with tons of fruit aromas, herb and oak notes, aged for 12 months in French oak, 25% new, making this wine fresh and vibrant good for drinking now, and some short-term aging. The 2016 was a good year with an early harvest with perfectly ripe fruit. On the palate, strawberry and cherry flavors with baking spice and gentle oak. Fine tannins, lingering ending with fruit and subtle spice character. Tasting Sample! — 13 days ago
