A blend of 47% Syrah, 28% Cab Sauv and adding Cab Franc, Sangiovese, Viognier, Petit Verdot & Metlot. Deep Ruby with complex aromas of dark fruit, spice, almonds and wet earth. On the palate blackberry, currant and raspberry flavors, soft tannins on a long finish ending with leather, pepper and oak tones. Very Nice, a beauty. — 8 days ago
Expressive nose of pepper, tar, mint, and concentrated dark fruits. Rich without being overextracted, and balanced between savory and fruity. Medium plus body with great structure. — 10 days ago
Beautiful color, great acidity, taste like bright cherry, raspberry, fruit tart and delish — 2 days ago
Not had wine from this producer before, but I adore this vineyard, and at a close out price, I wanted to give it a try.
As expected for Bien Nacido, there was a savory note on the nose with some smoked meat and iron, wrapped around rhubarb tart and candied black cherries. On the palate, it was quite light and semi acidic, with hardly any finish. I’m assuming there was a small use of whole cluster here due to the spice and lifted profile, but aside from that, it was fairly easy going with potpourri, bing cherries, and some cedar. — 10 days ago
I love this 2016 Grenache. Very light and fruity with the most gorgeous ruby red color. Great value — 10 days ago
a loud amount of fruit and oak. rich. But these qualities are balanced to match perfectly making it a drinkable good time. smells like fresh French cooperage. it's a pretty woodsy perfume that usually I don't like in a drink. wouldn't be surprised if another 6-8years helped make it more integrated and mellowed (to my taste). I'm feeling it can last that wait. — 16 days ago
