Served this classic Beaujolais Gamay with beef Bourgogne and creamy mashed potatoes on a snowy night. Perfect pairing! — 4 years ago
So clean. This reminds me of the French/Belgian Saisons that got me into this style. Very close to perfect. — 6 years ago
Terrific new sour saison from JP (okay, maybe not that new - bottled in November 2019 - but new for me!), this is a collaboration with Perennial Ales. Brewed with peaches and apricots, it’s one of the better sour saisons I’ve had from JP. Highly recommended. — 5 years ago
This bottle had been opened for 4 days and stored in the fridge. What a nose! There is chalk, there is limestone, elderflower, lemon, is this pineapple lurking in the back? The palate is well designed with a strong acid backbone, some width and a nice lemony touch all along with again that elderflower thing, a good grip and some matter, and a very long mineral and fruit thing that lasts for a while. Peppery cherry. Mineral with bite. Slightly effervescent. Everything I love in a gamay. — a month ago
