Clos de la Perrière Vougeot 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2019

Flash tasting; no formal notes. The 2019 “Clos de la Perrière” is a similar, pretty ruby with bolder strawberry and cherry than the 2018 displays. The structure is quite a bit bigger as well with grippy tannin and good acid. Medium finish. Better after 2029. — 4 months ago

La Perrière Mercurey Pinot Noir 2017

Bright red berry fruit aromas and flavors with earthy hints of tobacco and cocoa. Hint of baking spice on the nice finish. Medium bodied and quite rich. Nice. Thank You Ron B! — 2 years ago

More curious/interesting than delicious $100+ Pinot Blanc. Good but not quite worth the money. Chalk, lemon zest, blanched almond. — 6 months ago

Tasty wine. Melon finish. There was some sentiment in the bottom of our glasses when we finished. I recommend not waiting too long after opening to finish the bottle. — 9 months ago

Château La Rose Perrière

Lussac-St. Émilion Merlot Blend 2018

Awesome. Tastes like a mix of Napa and Bordeaux. Dark fruit, a bit of olives, earth, smooth, with that unmistakable “something” that separates great wines from very good wines (someday I will learn what flavor that is, I love it). On sale for $17, so I may buy a case. EDIT: I DID BUY A CASE. KILLER DEAL. EDIT 2: some coconut on the finish (but not in a weird way, think of it as barrel vanilla with more going on — 3 years ago
